Tooth Coloured Fillings
Tooth-colored fillings, also known as “composite resins,” can be used to improve the appearance of the teeth without causing significant damage to the teeth. If you have yellowed or misaligned teeth, composite can be applied to the surfaces to change the shape and close gaps between the teeth.
Procedure:
It’s a quick and painless procedure:
Gel is applied to the tooth and allowed to sit for a few minutes before being washed away.
The bonding agent is applied, dried, and set with a light source.
Composite (filling material) is applied to the tooth, shaped to the desired appearance, and then light-cured.
The filling is then polished to achieve a high shine.
A follow-up appointment is necessary to ensure that there has been no change in the filling, such as chipping.
After Treatment:
White filling material can discolour over time, with certain food and drinks. This can be removed with simple polishing or may eventually require the filling to be replaced.
