Dental Bridge
A dental bridge treatment plan is an excellent way to replace missing teeth and regain confidence. When eating or smiling, a missing tooth can make you feel self-conscious and uneasy.
Bridges are prosthetic devices that are used to address the voids left by missing teeth. It is cemented into place on existing teeth or implants to create a full and genuine smile.

Types of Bridges
On either side of the gap, a crown is made for the tooth or implant, with a pontic, or imitation tooth, in between. A traditional bridge is constructed of porcelain fused to metal and ceramic materials that resemble what you've lost.
Resin - bonded bridges are composed of porcelain or plastic teeth and gums that are held together by a metal framework. Metal wings protruding from one side of the bridge bond to your existing teeth to provide support while chewing!
When a tooth or two is missing from a solid row of teeth, a cantilever bridge is the best dental solution. It works so well in this region because they are not putting pressure on any other adjacent tooth that is coming up behind them and can make use of space that previously did not exist. A cantilever bridge has long been known for its ability to fill gaps and help create new spaces in back molars with adjacent ones only on one side. They function by anchoring their support structure at anchor points along the roof of your mouth while still allowing you to bite down safely without causing too much damage to neighbouring structures.
Implant-supported bridges are a great option for people who have lost several teeth because they are supported by a bridge that is attached to actual implants. This provides a sense of security and resembles healthy mouth tissues.
These can be used when a person has lost a back tooth and requires something extra strong that will last for years.
Treatment Procedure:
The dentist will use x-rays to map out your mouth, teeth, and gums to ensure that any tooth decay or gum disease is treated. They may also take some measurements for orthodontic purposes if necessary!
To install a dental bridge, first prepare the two teeth on either side of a gap by filing them down to produce space. The new tooth structure will then be created in three dimensions using a mould.
When the time comes to install a permanent bridge, the dentist will first determine whether you are a good candidate for dental implants. Following that, they may cement your new permanent bridge in place with temporary cement or by implanting screws into our jawbone (the bone beneath the gum line) and securing them inside tooth roots on either side of one missing tooth space.
Once the implant-supported bridgework has been fully and safely anchored over the top, the final step would be to remove any remaining bridges from this gap.
